Host a conversation in your own community at your bookclub, school, office, church, synagogue...
Take the plunge and invite a group of people to a discussion!
Step 1
- Welcome everyone and ask each person in the group to introduce themselves.
- To break the ice, ask each person for a specific example of something great they remember about school.
- Ask them - If you were building a school today, what would it look like? (Would it even be a building?) What would it have in it? What would the students feel like?
- Then ask - in these newly re-imagined schools, how would you define success?
Make sure someone takes notes (and even photographs or video) as you go along.
Or if you want to organize a group of 15 people or more, ask us to come and facilitate the session!

- Share the results here!
- What did you find out? Tell us in the discussion forum.
- What surprised you?
- Did some ideas (either a new possibility or a great thing happening now) emerge from your conversations?
Step 3
- Stay "in the loop". Check back to see if your information sparked comments or new discussions.
- Come to our conference on Nov. 7th, 2009 at York U in Torontoto take part in the next steps.
